Marina Mann and is a digital marketer and senior strategist focusing on the confluence of content, community and commerce. Marina is a passionate and creative individual with 12 years experience planning and executing branded, user focused, high-tech experiences online.

Prior to moving into consulting, Marina served as director of Web marketing at Virgin Mobile Canada, responsible for strategy & operations and the launch of Virgin’s mobile content (VAS) portal.

Previously, Marina led Apple Inc.’s e-Commerce localization of the Quebec online store and in 2006 ran Corus Entertainment’s digital strategy for seven kid & adult specialty TV websites.

At Organic Inc., Marina was the steward of  award winning, creative & technical teams in the launch of eCommerce and community portals for Symantec (business, home & enterprise), Bell GobeMeida, Alliance Atlantis, GamesMania, TSN, SonyStyle, Sprint Canada the launch of  Ontario Lotteries consumer, business and corporate websites.

Alex Crookes is an Internet technology entrepreneur and consultant specializing in mobile, social media and commerce.

As the founder of Sharp Robot in 2002, Alex was an integral part of the rapid growth of Mobile Entertainment in North America. At Sharp Robot, Alex created the worlds first cross-carrier integrated billing platform for mobile content and in so doing, the company dominated the Canadian mobile content market. In 2004 Sharp Robot merged with Boston based m-Qube – the then leading mobile messaging aggregater in the United States – where Alex became the CTO. Two further years saw the continued growth of the company and subsequent sale to VeriSign in 2006.

After leaving VeriSign in 2007, Alex worked with several startups where his focus on technology strategy, product requirements and strategic positioning has proven invaluable in launching international technology businesses.

Alex holds a master’s of science form Cranfield University in the UK and a bachelor’s of engineering from Manchester University.
